Erik Murphy
President

Erik became a Murphy & Associates consultant in 1993, working on assignments at McCaw Cellular, Weyerhaeuser, Group Health, and the Bellevue School District. In 1997, Erik joined his father, Ray, and doubled the size of the sales, recruiting and administrative staff.

Erik became president in 2009, after extensive exposure as a consultant and in all aspects of Murphy & Associates' business. He brings the continuity and experience to lead the company for the years to come. Erik graduated from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor of Arts in Math and Economics in 1989. He is married to Nanci Murphy, and they have three daughters.

Joel Murphy
Vice President, Sales

Joel began his career in IT as an application developer for Safeco Insurance. He became a Murphy & Associates consultant in 1997, working for Microsoft Consulting Services and Amazon.com. Joel moved over to our Sales and Recruiting team in 1998, specializing in Windows technologies.

Joel currently leads the Murphy & Associates sales, marketing and recruiting efforts. He has a Bachelors degree in English from Wesleyan University and a Masters of Arts in Counseling from Mars Hill Graduate School. Joel is married to Jennifer Murphy, and they have two daughters.

Judi Brittin
Staffing Manager

Judi has been a part of the Murphy & Associates Sales and Recruiting team since 2001. She began her career at Murphy & Associates as a consultant in 2000. Her assignments included working at Costco and Boeing as a project manager and business analyst. She also has IT experience at Regence Blue Shield and Safeco Insurance.

Judi has a degree in business and a certificate in computer programming. She is married to David Brittin, and they have two sons.

Alison Beget
Staffing Manager

Alison has been a part of the Murphy & Associates Sales and Recruiting team since January, 2005. She has worked as a recruiter since 2001 , in both the IT and financial sectors. While her experience is mainly filling contract positions, she also recruited a complete full time software R&D team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Alison graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a Bachelor of Arts in Interpersonal Communication and a Minor in Business. She is married to Garrett Beget and they have one son.

Robyn Maser
Staffing Manager

Robyn has been a part of the Murphy & Associates Sales and Recruiting team since March, 2008. Prior to that, she worked as a corporate, in-house recruiter for HouseValues, Getty Images, and Captura Software. Robyn has been recruiting talent across the board since she started her career in 1998, but has always had an emphasis on technology professionals. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Washington.

Nicki Ottinger
Sales & Recruiting Coordinator

Nicki has been the Sales & Recruiting Coordinator for Murphy & Associates since July 2006. She assists the Sales and Recruiting staff, serves as an initial point of contact for consultants new to our company, helps manage consultants’ paperwork and keeps the internal sales and recruiting systems up to date. Prior to joining us, Nicki was an Administrative Assistant at Woodinville Alliance Church. She attended ITT Peterson School of Business in Seattle. Nicki is married to Gary Ottinger, and they have three children.

Ray Murphy
Co-Founder

Ray co-founded Murphy & Associates in 1980 and ran the business for nearly two decades. He started his career at Boeing as an original member of the Boeing Computer Services (BCS) sales team. In 1973, Ray left BCS to work in various IT management roles at a number of companies. Since his sons Erik and Joel assumed day-to-day management of the company, Ray has been splitting his time between Seattle and Bend, Oregon where he is trying to become a respectable golfer.

Ray received a BA in Mathematics from Oregon State University and a MBA from the University of Oregon. He is married to Janet Truselo and has three sons, two step-sons and five granddaughters.

Donna Murphy
Co-Founder

Donna is a Murphy & Associates Co-Founder. She currently handles employee relations for Murphy & Associates, in addition to working as a real estate agent. She has extensive experience as a contract technical writer. Previously, Donna taught English to junior high and high school students. She has a Bachelors in English from University of Oregon and Master of Arts in English from University of Washington. Donna has three sons and five granddaughters.
